I have five beautiful girls all with different personalities even though they are being raise by the same mom &dad. I truly feel bless to see such a miracle . The miracle I am talking about is seeing this girls growing up, to me is unbelievable/crazy is like I am watching one of the greatest movie ever made ,produce,directed and written by God.This year was great . Some of our highlighted was our homeschooling trips/classes
this year we visit:
Brooklyn Children Museum (January - homeschool trip- pond ecosystem)
Museum of the city of NY (February-homeschool trip-traveling through time:New Amsterdam
Intrepid Museum (March-homeschool trip- up up and away)
South street seaport Museum(May-homeschool trip-ship shape)
Yankee Stadium (June-homeschool trip-A tour of the New Stadium)This is the trip we met my hubby cousin and family . What a small world to find out that they were members of the homeschool group that we are part of.
Queens Farm( June-homeschool trip -hands on farm program) this one was fun we learned to make butter, we got a really cool hayride ,saw goats,pigs, bees etc etc...
Prospect park zoo(June-homeshool trip) the girls got to touch a snake and a chicken. We got to see some kangaroo very close since the zoo have no gate just a rope between the kangaroo and the people . I though this was really weird but a worker told us that this animals are not violent and they stay away from humans.
Victorian gardens Amusement park ( July-homeschool trip- having fun) This Amusement Park is inside Central park . The girls had a blast, mommy had a headache after 2 rides ...LOL.
Before we went to the amusement park we also join the homeschool group at the Museum of Natural history .
Mad Science @ Applebee's (August-homeschool trip-) I really enjoy this one even though we were late. It gave me a chance to chit-chat with some moms.
We also saw a theater show with our homeschool group click clack Moo it was hilarious.
We also had our family trips , My hubby favorites.
Our summer were full of ventures parks, swimming ,tennis ,track-field programs provided by the citypark foundation which means it was all FREE . We even when to Yonkers to Beczak Environmental Education Center the most memorable program from there was the seining program . The girls put on some wader even my 3 year old, and with a huge net and the help of the educator they when inside the Hudson River, and catch some fish and sea creatures, after looking at the creatures, and learning facts from the educator, the sea creatures were release back to the river. The girls and I met one of my hubby good friend from work and brother throught Jesus Christ.Lets call him R. We woke up at 6:00am and took a 1hour car ride to upstate NY . This was the firts time the girls saw the suburbs . I think they enjoyed it very much the weather was nice, they spent the whole day outside playing with R kids. I also met his other friend lets call him D . He invited us to see Bob the builder LIVE. After the show we ate in Manhattan. This was my first time eating in such a fancy restaurant . we all enjoyed meeting my hubby friends. This year a mall was open in our area it was really exciting to see stores like Home Depot,Target,BJ, Toy r us,Marshalls, Bed &Bath and beyond and much more in my area South Bronx. The girls also participate in the Home Depot monthly kids workshop.
The fall was wonderful. I organized 10 weeks series of Mad science and private Picasso for our homeschool group it all started on Sept 14 at the Bronx library center. So for 10 weeks, on Mondays , I pack all five girl took the train drop the 2 small ones to my mom house and walk to the library where the girls enjoyed learning together with other homeschool kids . C ,T&k took the science class and K also took the art class provided by Private Picasso. We also revisit the Botanical Garden to be part of this amazing homeschool trip fall Harvest Class.After the class we walk around the garden with one of the homeschool mom and saw many areas I haven't seen before like the kids garden, the education center etc etc. We also saw for the first time an orchestra "lollipop lollipop" by little orchestra. On October C was a reader to our homeschool group series "reading with....." she read The giving Tree. she did a wonderful Job.
